Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Lakota Hub C.I.C. | Stockton-on-Tees

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Lakota Hub C.I.C.

Everyone Welcome. Everyone Valued.

At Lakota Hub C.I.C. in Stockton-on-Tees, we believe everyone deserves to feel welcome, respected and included.

We celebrate the differences that make people unique. Our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do, from community activities and volunteering to employment support, training and Alternative Provision.

Creating Opportunities for Everyone

We recognise that people have different backgrounds, abilities, experiences and circumstances. Some may face barriers that make it harder to access learning, employment or community opportunities.

We aim to remove unnecessary barriers, promote fairness and provide a welcoming environment where everyone has the opportunity to participate.

We consider individual needs, accessibility and reasonable adjustments to help people feel comfortable, confident and supported.

Supporting Children and Young People

Our Alternative Provision offers a supportive and inclusive learning environment for children and young people aged 16 and under.

We recognise that every learner is different. Therefore, we consider individual learning needs, disabilities, communication difficulties and additional support requirements, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We encourage young people to express their views, develop confidence and take an active part in their learning.

  • Respect, Fairness and Inclusion

  • Discrimination, bullying, harassment and unfair treatment have no place at Lakota Hub C.I.C.

  • We encourage kindness, understanding and respect throughout our organisation.

By listening to the people who use our services and working together, we aim to create a community where everyone feels valued and has the opportunity to succeed.
